General description

One of the novelties this year is the new start of this stage. The special stage starts a few metres before Esblada on the T-201 road coming from Santa Perpètua de Gaià (closed to the public), generating a quite spectacular junction in the direction of Querol.

Once you reach Querol, the stage enters the town along a steep asphalted road that enters a dense forest and continues climbing steeply until it reaches the crest of the mountain. This intermediate part of the stage becomes pure speed and ends in a very steep descent on cement, with two hairpins and the Les Pobles detour on cement.

The last part, after the Les Pobles detour, is a very narrow road with very good tarmac and well cambered. The links follow one after the other downhill towards Les Pobles, where the stage ends.

Camping is forbidden on the entire stage, except in designated areas.

Do always leave a free lane, as all accesses are escape ways in case of an emergency!

Spectator Area ZP-1

This is the same area as last year's edition but it is reached by a different road, creating a more spectacular area. The ZP1 is a junction between a narrow road and a wider road, both downhill. The crossing as such is closed and quite spectacular, it also has enough space to be able to place yourself safely, always in the high part of the surroundings of the road and accessing with enough time.

Access 1: This point can only be reached by the C-37 road coming from Igualada, Santa Maria de Miralles and La Llacuna.

Parking: About 2 km from the crossroads.

Spectator Area ZP-2

This is a very interesting area that can be reached at high speed and where the stage passes over a few metres of concrete, which will complicate the grip even more. Downhill hairpins with good visibility and a safe place on the mountain side. When the junction is reached, the concrete is replaced by asphalt at a 90-degree downhill angle. Very good visibility outside in the fields next to the road.

Access 2: from Pontons or El Pla de Manlleu, get to Els Ranxos de Bonany, follow the TV-2441 road towards Les Pobles / Santes Creus.

Parking: very limited on the access road itself. Be careful, very narrow road, always leave one lane free, all the accesses are escape routes in case of emergency.

Spectator Area ZP-3

End of the stage where the bends are linked one after the other and where there are areas to cut back. Good location for the public on the raised banks near the road.

Access 3: On foot once you have parked your car in Les Pobles. Arrive early as parking is limited and it is the end of the stage. The stage is just over 5 minutes' walk away.

Parking: limited in the village of Les Pobles.
