General description

El Montmell is a classic of the RallyRACC Catalunya, it is a special stage with a good asphalt, but very narrow, it combines fast areas with others that are not so fast and is characterized by the combination of twisty curves and twisty areas with other parts of high speed.

The stage can be divided into three distinct parts. Starting from Vila-rodona, the first part is very fast and in fact there will be a chicane before entering the village of Can Ferrer de la Cogullada, in order to reduce the speed of the participants. After passing through the village, the route becomes a little more winding and twisty, continuing along the TV-2443 road until it reaches the Aiguaviva area. This area ends, at high speeds, at the Pla de Manlleu crossroads. The third and final part of the stage runs along the TP-2442 road, ending with a steep and twisty descent to the finish, known as Les Ventoses, near Sant Jaume dels Domenys.

This stage will be broadcast live on TV via WRC+All Live.

IMPORTANT: Access to ZP2 from previous editions will be forbidden to the public.

Camping is forbidden on the entire stage, except in designated areas.

Remember: always leave a lane free, all accesses are escape routes in case of emergency!

Spectator Area ZP-1

This is a fairly fast area right at the start of the special. There is great visibility in the first stages of the special, with long, twisting bends. It must be accessed from the town of Vila-rodona about 2 km from the special stage, where access to the public is cut off in the town centre. It is a safe area in the upper part of the margins of the crops that act as a natural grandstand, which offers great visibility.

Access 1: Take exit 11 of the AP-2 to Vila-rodona. The start of the stage is about 2 km from the town centre.

Parking: Only in Vila-rodona.

Spectator Area ZP-2

This public zone has a chicane located at the junction of the Rodonyà road (between the TV-2444 and the TV-2443) to slow down at the entrance to a new point of interest, the urban centre of Can Ferrer. Limited space for spectators. Safe area only on elevated parts and in places where cars do not enter at high speed.

IMPORTANT: Once past the centre of Can Ferrer, access to the public will be prohibited.

Access 2: If coming from the motorway (AP-2) take exit 11, follow the C-51 road towards Rodonyà, at the roundabout in the village itself follow the signs to Can Ferrer de la Cogullada along the C-51z. Then take the TV-2444 road.

Parking: Parking 3.5km from the stage. Remember: always leave one lane free, all accesses are escape routes in case of emergency!

Spectator Area ZP-3

Spectator area 3 also has several interesting locations. The best known and most impressive is the braking point at the junction between TV-2443 and TP-2442 roads. But before this we find a very fast area with some very high speed "cut-throughs".

Access 3: This first access leads to the fastest area. It is an asphalted track coming from La Juncosa del Montmell, a village that can be reached by the TV-2401 road, which can also be taken from the C-51 road past or from La Bisbal del Penedès (exit 12 of the AP-7).

Access 4: This second access leads to the crossroads. To reach this point, take the T-244 road through Pla de Manlleu.

This road can only be taken from Torrelles de Foix (BV-2122) and Pontons (TV-2441).

Parking: Very limited, on the access roads. Remember: Do always leave a free lane, as all accesses are escape ways in case of an emergency!
