RallyRACC, after SS4: Neuville and Hyundai in the lead

With 4 of 8 first day stages completed of the 57th RallyRACC Catalunya-COSTA DAURADA, Rally de España 2022, the Belgian duo (winner of the RallyRACC 2021), Thierry Neuville - Martijn Wydaeghe (Hyundai i20 N Rally1 Hybrid) leads the race after a magnificent scratch in the fourth Special Stage, allowing them to dethrone the current World Champion team, French Sébastien Ogier - Benjamin Veillas (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 Hybrid).

The recently proclaimed 2022 World Champion duo, Kalle Rovanperä - Jonne Halttunen (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 Hybrid), claimed the third position. The Finns of Toyota won the first two stages, while the Japanese brand's French team took the third stage and the Belgians of Hyundai had their turn in the fourth. Provisional fourth position for yet another assertive team, Ott Tänak - Martin Järveoja (Hyundai i20 N Rally Hybrid), in the all-out fight for the podium.

The Manufacturer's World Title will be settled by the end of this 57th RallyRACC, with the Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT squad as favorite. Provisionally, the Spanish duo, Dani Sordo - Candido Carrera (Hyundai i20 N Rally1 Hybrid), is in sixth place. Starting at 13.06h, the teams will be arriving to the PortAventura World Service Park, where they will have 20' to regroup and another 40' of service.

The second loop through the morning stages will take place at 15.09h (Els Omells - Maldà), 16.09h (Serra de la Llena), 17.02h (Les Garrigues Altes) and 18.02h (Riba-roja). The first participant will arrive at the podium in Salou at approximately 19.45h and onto the PortAventura World Park at 19.57h, where the teams will have 45' to work on their vehicles.
