General description

The La Granadella stage is a completely new stage, but part of it, from La Granadella to Soleràs, was used in 2010 and 2011 in the mixed stage of Les Garrigues. Not to be compared with this year's edition as the stage is run on asphalt only.

The first part of the special stage up to La Granadella is uphill, with fast sections, old asphalt and a slight slope. It always runs through olive groves, giving a good view of the road. The second part, after La Granadella, the stage becomes even narrower, but it becomes flatter, there is more vegetation, less visibility, and the windmills of the wind farm appear. The stage ends uphill near Soleràs with a very twisty area with tight hairpins and broken tarmac.

Spectator Area ZP-1

Pass through the village of Bovera. The road leading to the village itself is narrow and smooth asphalt, but when the stage enters Bovera the road becomes wider and the asphalt is good. This is a point with very good visibility from the fields near the village and other elevated areas.

Access: From La Palma d'Ebre take the asphalted road towards Bovera, and after 7.5 km you will reach the village itself.

Parking: Areas enabled near the village of Bovera. Be careful not to collapse the access road, it is very narrow. Do always leave one lane free, all access roads are escape routes in case of emergency.

Spectator Area ZP-2

Probably the most interesting area to follow the passage of the participants through this stage. It is a spectator area that really consists of three different zones.

The first area is just before reaching the village of La Granadella, at the so-called viewpoint of Les Terres de l'Ebre. From that point you can enjoy a good part of the ascent of the stage coming from Bovera.

The second area is in the village of La Granadella itself, the chicane inside the village will be reached at high speed and is sure to offer a spectacle thanks to the strong braking.

And the third area is once past the village, the road becomes narrow again and the curves have great visibility in the fields close to the road.

Access: La Granadella can be reached from Bellagurda to the east or Llardecans to the west. Both accesses are via the C-242.

Parking: Areas near La Granadella. Be careful not to block the access road, always leave one lane free, all the accesses are escape routes in case of emergency.

Spectator Area ZP-3

Final part of the stage. This is an area with very good visibility. The competitors will arrive after a flatter area of high speed to end up reaching the last bends of the special. Safe location on the hillside.

Access: reach El Soleràs via Granyena de les Garrigues (L700), El Albagés (C233) or Los Torms (L701). Once parked on the outskirts of the village of El Soleràs, enter on foot along the stage itself (well in advance) or on foot towards the Ermita del Soleràs.

Parking: Near the village of El Soleràs. It will not be possible to park in the village itself.
