25 years of FIA World Rally Championship in Spain

31/08/2015

After the staging of the 50th edition of the RallyRACC in 2014, the event is going to celebrate this year its 25th edition in a row as a scoring round towards the FIA World Rally Championship. 1991 was the first year in which Rallye Catalunya became part of the WRC calendar, and it has not lost this condition despite being only a scoring round for the 2.0-litre World Cup in 1994 due to the rotations introduced into the WRC rounds back then. In this 25 years of history in the championship, the RallyRACC has been based for 14 years in Lloret de Mar (Costa Brava) and for 11 years (this year included) in Salou-PortAventura (Costa Daurada).
