RallyRACC 2013, very easy to follow for fans

(07/10/2013)

The 49 RallyRACC Catalunya-COSTA DAURADA, Rally de España 2013 will be offering several chances for fans to follow the event, and even those who cannot be on site will be able to stay constantly informed about the latest news.

At www.rallyracc.com, fans will have the Virtual Stage Guide, a complete description of all recommended spectator areas of the nine different special stages making up the rally. This electronic document is available in Spanish, Catalan and English and includes not only pictures and the usual general description of the accesses, services and general assessment of each area, but also, as a novelty, a video of each area. Thus, fans will be able to see what they will find when arriving at the area chosen to watch the rally cars passing by.

As regards the printed publications, RACC will be publishing this year, with the collaboration of Editorial MIC, an Official Programme as well as the usual Official Guide published by the specialised magazine Autohebdo Sport. The official programme, with a quality book-style format, is made up of 116 pages in A4 format and will be available at the start in Barcelona and at the Service Park in PortAventura. As regards the Official Guide, it will be magazine-style and made up of 36 pages. The Guide will be sold together with the Autohebdo Sport magazine during the rally week. Both publications will include all the details of the RallyRACC and the World Championship.

The written information will be completed with the usual Rally Map, i.e. the general map including the timetable of the 49 RallyRACC, shown on the Geostel road map of Catalonia, which will be available in the Service Park and the PortAventura Village.

The official website www.rallyracc.com is the official source of information of the RallyRACC; obviously not only of this 49 edition, but also of the last 12 events staged. It is an excellent tool to know more about the race and about the WRC. It will be constantly updated and will include the “Rally on line” service during the rally week, with HD pictures, news, statements of the drivers and live-timing and classifications. The Twitter channel @rallyRACC will also be offering information and constant flashes about the event during the whole week.

The Official Media Partners, i.e. Autohebdo Sport, the newspapers Sport, El Periódico and the radio station Catalunya Ràdio, will be putting the 49 RallyRACC in the spotlight during the three race days.

On Friday 25 October, shortly before the ceremonial start of the 49 RallyRACC in Barcelona, in an auditorium located right next to the start area, Luis Moya, rally co-driver and two times world champion with Carlos Sainz, will give a talk for a limited number of fans, about the ins and outs of a WRC event. All those interested in attending the talk can get detailed information on the event’s website.

As a complement for all those people, companies and entities wishing to enjoy the race in a comfortable and organised manner, RACC Travel offers two different programmes: VIP Racing Rally and Rally Gold Passport. With the first option, fans can follow the 49 RallyRACC from a privileged area, visiting places which are restricted for the public and accessing selected stages with a minivan. The Rally Gold Passport option offers the chance to follow the event from an exclusive position, enjoying privileged areas and with little public, as the access is made by helicopter.

The 49 RallyRACC Catalunya-COSTA DAURADA, Rally de España 2013, will be staged from 25 to 27 October, starting from Barcelona and arriving in Salou. The nerve centre of the event will be the Port Aventura theme park, host to the Service Park and the Village located in one of park’s car parks. The 49 RallyRACC consists of a 1,389.5 km route, including 355,92 timed kilometres which are distributed into 15 timed stages, including 2 mixed gravel-tarmac stages, 4 gravel stages and 9 tarmac stages. 64 vehicles have entered the event, 13 of which are World Rally Cars.
