The 50th RallyRACC (2014), from 24 to 26 October

(27/09/2013)

RallyRACC 2012

At the FIA World Motor Sport Council Meeting, held today in Dubrovnik, Croatia, certain decisions were taken, some of which affect the World Rally Championship, such as the 2014 events calendar.

The future calendar does not include many novelties; the most outstanding being the replacement of the Greek Rally Acropolis by Rally Poland, which had already been a scoring round in 2009. As regards the Rally de España, it will continue in the WRC calendar for the 24th consecutive year and with a date that is almost identical to that of this year. Thus, the 50th RallyRACC will be staged from 24 to 26 October, again as the penultimate scoring round of the Championship.

Just like last year, the calendar of the following season has been made public while the RACC is fully engaged with the organisation of the 2013 edition, which is going to be staged from 25 to 27 October, starting from Barcelona on Friday, 25th and finishing in Salou on Sunday, 27th, having its nerve centre at the PortAventura theme park and in the area of the Costa Daurada.

The Calendar of the FIA World Rally Championship for 2014 is as follows:

15 to 19 January - Rallye Monte Carlo
7 to 9 February - Rally Sweden
7 to 9 March - Rally Mexico
4 to 6 April - Rally Portugal
9 to 11 May – Rally Argentina
30 May to 1 June - Rally d’Italia
27 to 29 June - Rally Poland (+Lithuania)
1 to 3 August - Rally Finland
22 to 24 August - Rally Deutschland
12 to 14 September - Rally Australia
3 to 5 October - Rallye de France
24 to 26 October - RallyRACC, Rally de España
14 to 16 November - Wales Rally GB
