Pocos récord le quedaban por batir al 7 veces Campeón del Mundo de Rallies, Sébastien Loeb. Mayor número de títulos, victorias, podios, todo está en poder de la gran figura francesa. Y en el RallyRACC ha logrado batir el que le faltaba, y además significativo: el número de scratch en pruebas puntuables para el mundial. Ganando la primera pasada por la especial de Riba-roja d’Ebre, Sébastien Loeb ha desbancado al mítico Markku Alen de la primera posición.

Alen, ya retirado, contaba con 801 scratch, una cifra fabulosa que Loeb ha mejorado hoy y que no tan solo le convierte en el más rápido de la historia del WRC, sino que le permite albergar esperanzas de marcar una cifra muy difícil de mejorar en el futuro.

Hasta el TC9 (Punta de les Torres) del Rally de España 2011, esta es la clasificación en cuanto a número de scratch de toda la historia del Campeonato del Mundo FIA: 1-Sébastien Loeb, 802 scratch; 2-Markku Alen, 801 scratch; 3-Carlos Sainz, 756 scratch; 4-Juha Kankkunen, 700 scratch; 5-Hannu Mikkola, 654 scratch.
