The RallyRACC 2012, more affordable for participants

(12/07/2012)

The RACC, in its constant effort to make it more affordable for drivers and teams to enter the RallyRACC, Spanish round of the FIA WRC that will be the closing event for all world titles involved this year, has made a further step in order to promote the participation of foreign private drivers as well as Spanish entrants.

The main reduction affects the entry fees for foreign private drivers, i.e. non-seeded drivers, who will have to pay 2,000€ +VAT this year, meaning a significant reduction compared to the 3,500€ or 2,500€ for an early entry which they had to pay in 2011. There will be no early entries in 2012, as the price of 2,000€ will be kept until Monday 8 October, the entry closing date, always provided that the optional advertising of the organization is accepted.

The above mentioned price is regardless of the type of vehicle or class entered, except in the case of WRCars. For the latter, as is the case for the teams representing manufacturers or all priority 2 drivers, the entry fee amounts to 5,000€ +VAT. Works teams registered for the FIA World Championship, as well as those registered for the support championships (SWRC and PWRC) have specific entry fees according to the 2012 FIA WRC Sporting Regulations.

Special support for drivers with a Spanish license
As in previous editions, the RACC wants to support all those drivers participating with a Spanish license, and has therefore established even lower prices than for foreign participants for the 48th edition of the rally: 1,500€ +VAT. The RACC will be taking over part of the entry fees in order to encourage Spanish drivers to take part in their home race, the most important of the country.

Last but not least, there is also the possibility to take part in reconnaissance only, without entering the whole event, by paying a fee of 1,000€ +VAT. This is a very useful option for all those drivers planning to take part in the RallyRACC in the future.

The 48 RallyRACC Catalunya-COSTA DAURADA, Rally de Espaρa, 13th and last scoring round of the FIA World Rally Championship will be staged from 8 to 11 November 2012 having its nerve centre in Salou and PortAventura. The race will be the last round for the Drivers', Co-drivers' and Manufacturers' Championships, as well as for the support championships PWRC (Production), SWRC (Super 2000), WRC Academy and Rally Class.
