SS-2 / SS-5– Querol – 21.260 kms.

General description:
The Querol Stage will start in the village of Pontils. The first part of the stage is run on the T-201 road, which despite being a little narrow has very good asphalt since 2007. After 9 km, we reach the Esblada junction on the C-37 road, which is the start of the second part of the stage on a wider road, also with new and regular asphalt. The special continues passing quickly Querol, to reach Pont d'Armentera, where it ends with a very fast and technical section.

Spectator areas ZP-1
ZP-1 is at the start, in the village of Pontils. Right after the start there is a right-hand junction, leaving the TV-2011 behind, which is the first point of interest. Then the stage enters a fast section.

 

Access-1: TV-2011. This road can be taken from the T-220/B-220 either coming from Santa Coloma de Queralt or from the C-37 coming from Igualada.

Access-2: From the AP-2 highway take exit 9 in Montblanc eading to Sarral and Rocafort de Queralt on the C-421. After this village, continue 5 km and turn right to Vallespinosa, where you will find a road to the left before the village that will lead you to Pontils.

Services: Parking on the access roads or in Pontils if you are coming from Vallespinosa.

Spectator areas ZP-2
ZP-2 is the junction in Esblada, between T-201 and C-37. The junction itself is a tight and spectacular bend. Natural grandstands allow for a good location in the following bends.

 

Access: C-37 from Igualada.


Services: Very limited parking space on the T-704

Attention!! This access will be closed 2 km before the junction to avoid traffic jams. .

Spectator areas ZP-3

ZP-3is in Querol. The passage through the village is a very fast section but it has the advantage of being able to enjoy the services..

 

Access: From Km 11 of the TV-2441 in Coll de la Torreta, there is an asphalted road of approx. 7 km leading to Querol. Follow the signs to St. Jaume de Montagut until Km 3.4 and then continue 3.8 km on the asphalted road to Querol.

Spectator areas ZP-4
ZP-4 is the arrival area of the stage, approx. 1.5 km from Pont d’Armentera. In this area you can enjoy several linked, long bends, though a bit hidden, since it is a wooded area.


Access 1: You have to get to Pont d'Armentera either following the C-37 - exit 10 of the AP-2 highway or following TP-2002 from Vila-rodona.
