RACC Motor Sport representatives playing central roles at the FIA Seminars in Paris

Several meetings were held last Monday and Tuesday at the FIA headquarters in Paris between Organisers of WRC Events, FIA Observers and Stewards who are going to act as such during the 2009 WRC events. The RACC representatives, Aman Barfull and Xavier Conesa, were the only Spaniards attending the meetings.

To unify criteria was one of the main premises of the Seminar for FIA WRC Observers and Stewards, which was attended by Aman Barfull and Xavier Conesa on Monday. A further seminar was held on Tuesday morning, but this time it dealt with marketing issues of the FIA World Rally Championship, with the attendance of President Max Mosley.

To finish these marathon days, there was a meeting of WRC Event Organisers. Aman Barfull, active member of the Organiser Commission, explained that “the future of the WRC is always a reason for debate, so it is always positive to make use of our stays in Paris to meet and talk with the other organisers."

Aman Barfull, director of the RACC Sports Area and Clerk of the Course of the RallyRACC Catalunya-COSTA DAURADA, Rally de España; and Xavier Conesa, Member of the Sport Commission, Deputy Clerk of the Course of the Spanish WRC round, and member of the FIA International Court of Appeal (ICA), have a long career as active elements in the highest sanctioning body of world motor sport.

In 2009, Aman Barfull will act as an FIA Observer at the Rallies in Ireland (already held) and Australia, while Xavier Conesa will be Steward at the Rallies in Argentina, Finland and Wales-GB.
