For another year, the RallyRACC lives up to expectations: See you in 2009!

The complex organization machinery of the 44 movistar RallyRACC Catalunya-COSTA DAURADA, Rally de España has put the full stop to the 2008 edition. From now on, national and international tourism play again the leading role on the Costa Daurada and especially in Salou and the PortAventura theme park, excellent hosts to the Spanish round of the 2008 FIA World Rally Championship. 

In this last communication of 2008, RACC Motor Sport, the sporting division of the RACC, wants to thank for the efforts of the several institutions and companies, and of the hundreds of people who have supported the race, allowing the Spanish round of the world championship to live up to all expectations for another year.

The Clerk of the Course of the 44 RallyRACC and Director of the Sports Area of the RACC, Aman Barfull, officially closes another successful edition, thanking everyone for the essential co-operation provided:

“Last year, around the same dates, we proclaimed to have organised and experienced the best RallyRACC so far. Twelve months later, the evaluation made then seems even modest, since all inputs we are getting are showing us, that the RallyRACC 2008 has been with no doubt the best rally we have ever organised. Thanks to the help of the almost 3,000 people who have been working in the complex organisation network, the FIA, the teams, the drivers, the championship followers have congratulates us on the perfect machinery we have offered them. And we should not forget that a large part of this responsibility is also possible thanks to the essential and coordinated help of the security forces, Mossos d’Escuadra and Guardia Civil”.

“I don’t want to finish without mentioning the magnificent infrastructure provided by the Costa Daurada, the city of Salou and, obviously, PortAventura. We cannot have better hosts to set-up our FIA world championship, there is no other rally in the championship with so much space, comfort and service as the one offered in Catalonia, a race of a very high level according to many opinions from abroad. Together, we have again organised and experienced a sports event of first order and with a tremendous worldwide significance. On behalf of my team in particular and the RACC in general, I want to express our most heartfelt gratitude. Congratulations to all of you!!  See you in 2009!".
