SEAT, official RallyRACC Catalunya-COSTA DAURADA car for the 17th consecutive year

Seat's fleet at the RallyRACC

Since the RallyRACC Catalunya-COSTA DAURADA was included in the World Championship calendar, 17 years ago, the Spanish manufacturer SEAT has been collaborating with the race. This year, SEAT offers the Spanish rally a fleet of 80 vehicles that are used as safety and staff cars. SEAT shows yet again its committment to motorsports by providing the three so-called “zero-cars”, which run through the stage before the participants of the race and warn spectators about the arrival of the first full speed rally car.

Both the 000 and the 00 cars are SEAT León Cupra units, featuring a powerful two-liter 240 CV engine with TSI mechanichs. The 0 car is a SEAT Ibiza Cupra 1.4 TSI, which makes its first appearance in Spain these days, as it is being launched at the Paris Car Show. Motorsports fans will have the opportunity to see the car in action during the Rally de España. The new Ibiza Cupra is fitted with a DSG 7-speed gearbox, controllable from the wheel.

This is yet another token of SEAT’s involvement in the RallyRACC, one of the most relevant motor sports events held in Spain. This is a good occasion to raise SEAT’s profile among its target audience, young motorsports lovers.

Zero-car drivers are Joan Vinyes-Enric Oller (SEAT Ibiza Cupra “0”), Jordi Martí-Manel Casanova (SEAT León Cupra “00”) and David Colldecarrera-Jordi Parro (SEAT León Cupra “000”).
