The 2008 RallyRACC Catalunya-COSTA DAURADA, Rally de España, a highlight at Fitur

Senior officials of RACC Motor Sport, led by the Sports Area Director Aman Barfull and Deputy Director Ramón Corominas, attended the presentation of this season's RallyRACC Catalunya-COSTA DAURADA, Rally de España, to be staged from October 2-5, at the Fitur trade fair.

The district councillor for Tourism of Salou, Marc Montagut, announced a series of sports and festive events under the campaign "Emociona't a Salou" (Get excited in Salou) that will be once again surrouding the 44th edition of the scoring round of the WRC, with the cooperation of the RACC, the tourist board of the Costa Daurada and Port Aventura. This will be the fourth time for Salou as central venue of this WRC event, which, according to Marc  Montagut, "is an event providing large promotion chances for the area".

The presentation was attended by the official Spanish team of Citroën at the WRC, made-up by Dani Sordo and Marc Martí. Aman Barfull highlighted that the Spanish round will continue in the calendar in 2009 despite the FIA starting from that season a rotation of all scoring rounds.

The 44 RallyRACC Catalunya-COSTA DAURADA, Rally de España, will not only be the 12th round of the 2008 WRC (out of 15), but also the 6th round (out of 7) of the FIA Junior WRC.
