SS-5 – El Lloar – La Figuera – 22,430 kms.

General description: This is one of the classic stages of the Rally Catalunya-Costa Daurada, and one of the most followed at the crowded junction of El Molar. It is a stage with a completely new and even surface, combining twisty sections with fast sections, especially after having been reasphalted in 2005, where some of the bends were eliminated. The special starts on the T-732 after passing El Lloar. It begins with a combination of long bends and a faster and very technical area until the El Molar junction, where it takes the T-730 to pass La Figuera, the start of a very technical area. It finishes 3 km after the junction with the T-714 coming from La Torre de l’Espanyol.

Spectator areas ZP-1 ZP-1 is at the exit of El Lloar. The stage starts with a sequence of long bends linked by fast sections. Access-1: Not recommended access, little capacity. Asphalted road of 6.5 km starting from Bellmunt del Priorat. To reach the village, take the TP-7101 from Falset. After approx. 3 km from Bellmunt and right after crossing the river, turn right. Follow the asphalted road approx. 3.5 km to reach the stage. Access forbidden for campers. Access-2: Recommended access, walking from Gratallops. You may park in Gratallops and cover the 4 km along the T-732 by foot. Services: - Very limited parking space on the road coming from Bellmunt del Priorat.   Assessment: Location     -     Visibility     -     Spectacularity

Spectator areas ZP-2 ZP-2 is one of the most spectacular spots of the rally, the junction of El Molar with a 180º angle, in which cars habitually use their handbrakes. You have to get there early since there is no natural stand and there is not a good visibility. Access-1: Following T-734 from N-420 to El Molar. Access-2: From the village of García following C-12, take T-731 to El Molar. Access-3: Not recommended access, little capacity. Following the asphalted road, take T-734 at Km 3.1 before reaching El Masroig. Follow the road some 5 km, turn left and continue 4 km to reach El Molar. Access forbidden for campers. Services: - Large parking area in El Molar. - Very limited parking space on the road coming from El Masroig. - Camping area in El Molar.   Assessment: Location     -     Visibility     -     Spectacularity

Spectator areas ZP-3 ZP-3 starts at the junction between T-730 and T-714. It has a rather delicate braking section on linked bends and then the stage continues along a section with large visibility. Access: Take the T-714 coming from C-14 passing by Vinebre, leaving La Torre de l’Espanyol behind. The stage is located at Km 3.9 of the T-714. Spectator areas ZP-4 ZP-4 is a small spectator area at the finish of the special, though with little interest. Access: From T-702 coming from La Bisbal de Falset from the northern area of El Priorat. Services: Very limited parking space on the T-702, some 500 metres from the finish of the special. Attention!!
