SS-2 / SS-4 – El Montmell – 24,140 kms.

General description: The El Montmell stage links two specials from previous years: the first sector of Can Ferrer and that of the area of Les Ventoses. The first sector starts in Vila-rodona and as a novelty for this year there will be a chicane before accessing the village centre of Can Ferrer. The stage becomes very fast around this village to continue along a twistier section until the area of Aiguaviva and the junction in Pla de Manlleu. Then the stage takes the TP-2441, much wider and with new asphalt, finishing with a vertiginous and twisty descent.

Spectator areas ZP-1 ZP-1 is located 2 km from Vila-rodona, at the start of the special. It is an area with large visibility, with long bends linked by fast sections. Perfect location due to a natural stand. Access: Go to Vila-rodona from exit 11 of the AP-2 highway. The start is located some 2 km from the village centre. Spectator areas ZP-2 ZP-2 is the junction leading to Can Ferrer. It is a very fast section and organisers have included a chicane this years. The passage of Can Ferrer is interesting but it does not offer big chances to locate spectators. Access: From exit 11 of the AP-2 highway, take C-51 heading for Rodonyà and on Km 19.7 take TV-2444 that will take you to the stage. Services: Small limited parking. Spectator areas ZP-3 ZP-3 is the wide area of Aiguaviva. This is the point in which the stage changes surface and the whole area is quite fast with a spectacular braking section at the TP-2442 junction. Access 1: The south access is an asphalted road starting in La Juncosa del Montmell. To reach this village, follow TV-2401 either from C-51 passing Rodonyà or from La Bisbal del Penedès. Access 2: The north access is the T-244 passing Pla de Manlleu. This road can only be taken from Torrelles de Foiz and Pontons following the same itinerary that takes you to the Querol stage. Spectator areas ZP-4 ZP-4 is right at the finish of the special. It is an area with little space and visibility, but very close to Sant Jaume dels Domenys offering good parking facilities. Access: The village of Sant Jaume dels Domenys is very close to exit 12 of La Bisbal del Penedés. From the exit, drive to Sant Jaume dels Domenys following T-240 and B-212.
