SS-15 / SS-17 – Riudecanyes – 16,320 kms.

General description: Despite being a classic stage, Riudecanyes has important novelties in 2007. On the one hand, the stage has been enlarged to 16.32 km due to the inclusion of the initial section of the former N-420. Thus, the stage commences on a rather wide section but with rather old asphalt, to enter the usual stage, after a spectacular junction on the roundabout giving access to the current N-420, continuously descending until Duesaigües and then to Riudecanyes. This part is also different since the new asphalt layer has changed the surface known from previous years completely.

Spectator areas ZP-1 ZP-1 is located at the roundabout on the N-420. It is an ideal place to locate the public since a natural stand offers excellent views of the cars passing two roundabouts, the first of them shaped like a tight angle. Access: Access is allowed following the N-420 road and then taking the TP-7401 at the Porrera exit. Services: - Very limited parking area on the TP-7401. - Car park close to the N-420. Attention!! Spectator areas ZP-2 ZP-2 is located in the village of Duesaigües. It is a quite fast area finishing with an S-shaped section after crossing the village. Access: From exit 37 of the AP-7 highway, take the T-312 to Montbrió del Camp and then follow the T-310 to get close to Montroig del Camp. Just before taking the road bordering the village, you will find signs to go to Vilanova d’Escornalbou following the T-321. Cross Vilanova and follow the asphalted road with signs to the picturesque village of L’Argentera. 2,6 km after L’Argentera you will find the access to the stage in the village called Duesaigües. Spectator areas ZP-3 ZP-3 is located in the village of Riudecanyes. After driving around the reservoir named like the village, there is a turn to the left with a spectacular breaking manoeuvre. Access-1: Using the same route as the access to ZP-2, take the T-313 to Riudecanyes in Montbrió del Camp. Access-2: Using the same route as the access to ZP-2, turn to the right in Vilanova d’Escornalbou heading for Riudecanyes.
