SS-1 / SS-3 – Querol – 25,430 kms.

General description:
The Querol stage is a repetition from 2006 and has three differentiated parts. The first part is the rather narrow asphalted road, with irregular surface leading from Biure to Gaia until the junction with the T-201, where the stage gets wider and leads some 9 km over irregular asphalt with a lot of gravel in the verges. The last section of the stage starts in Esblada, following the C-37, on new and regular asphalt, passing Querol and arriving in Pont d’Armentera, ending with a very fast and technical section.

Spectator areas ZP-1
ZP-1 is located at the start of the stage, after Biure de Gaià. It is a quite fast section with irregular asphalt.



Access: Asphalted road from Les Piles. Approx. 3 km after the village it ends at approx. 400 m from the start line.

Services: Small parking in Les Piles.

Attention!! The road from Biure de Gaià leading to the start will be closed for the public.

Spectator areas ZP-2
ZP-2 is a large area with a view over two junctions in the outskirts of Pontils. The stage leaves the narrow, asphalted road behind to follow the T-201, which is wider but still with an irregular surface. You may stay in one of the two junctions or in the village of Pontils.

Access-1: T-201 starting from Santa Coloma de Queralt. The stage is located some 6.5 km from the village.

Access-2: TV-2011. This road can be taken from the T-220/B-220 either coming from Santa Coloma de Queralt or from the C-37 coming from Igualada.

Access-3: Following the asphalted road that leads from Vallespinosa to Pontils.

Spectator areas ZP-3

ZP-3 is the junction in Esblada, between T-201 and C-37. The junction itself is a tight and spectacular bend. Natural stands allow for a good location in the following bends.

Access: C-37 from Igualada

Services: Limited parking space on the C-37

Attention!! This access will be closed 2 km before the junction to avoid traffic jams.

Spectator areas ZP-4
ZP-4 is in Querol. The passage through the village is a very fast section but it has the advantage of being able to enjoy the services.

Access: From Km 11 of the TV-2441 in Coll de la Torreta, there is an asphalted road of approx. 7 km leading to Querol. Follow the signs to St. Jaume de Montagut until Km 3.4 and then continue 3.8 km on the asphalted road to Querol.

Services: Very limited parking space on the access road to Querol

Spectator areas ZP-5
ZP-5 is the arrival area of the stage, approx. 1.5 km from Pont d’Armentera. In this area you can enjoy several linked, long bends, though a bit hidden, since it is a wooded area.



Access: You have to get to Pont d'Armentera either following the C-37 - exit 10 of the AP-2 highway or following TP-2002 from Vila-rodona
