As a result of the review of the 2007 calendar, the RallyRACC Catalunya-Costa Daurada has been put back to its traditional autumn date, and the 43rd edition of the rally will be staged from October 4th to 7th, 2007, with its neuralgic centre located once again in the area of Salou and the Costa Daurada in Tarragona. The twelfth round and fifth asphalt rally of the 2007 WRC, will also be a scoring round of the Junior WRC (6th and penultimate scoring round of the series), as well as for the only single-make series of the world championship, the Ford Fiesta Sporting Trophy (6th and penultimate round).
 
The relevant tourist centre of Salou and the PortAventura theme park, located on the Costa Daurada in Tarragona, will be hosting the rally base of the RallyRACC for the third consecutive year. The large and modern facilities of PortAventura will be once again the core of the event, hosting the Service Area, the RallyRACC Village, the Race Control and the Media Centre, while the Salou promenade will be the location of the start and finish podium and the venue of the prize-giving. The rally will be offering a route that will include novelties and given its position in the calendar, may become a key for the results of the championships.
