TC07: COLIN McRAE SE SITÚA LIDER PROVISIONAL

Colin McRae (Ford Focus) ha marcado el scratch en el primer tramo de segunda etapa con un tiempo de 29:18.9 y que rebaja en 8 segundos el récord que ostentaba Bugälski (Citroën) y que consiguió el año pasado. Con este tiempo el escocés se sitúa primero de la general provisional a 10.7 de Richard Burns, con problemas en este tramo. En segunda posición ha finalizado el François Delecour (Peugeot) con 29:01.1 y tercero ha sido Gilles Panizzi, también de Peugeot, con un tiempo de 29:02.5. Carlos Sainz (Ford) que ha finalizado cuarto del tramo continúa tercero de la general. El tramo ha transcurrido sobre una carretera limpia que se encontraba a una temperatura de 9ºC. El público que se ha concentrado para ver en directo el primer tramo del día estaba muy bien situado.

Jesús Puras (Citroën): Ha finalizado el tramo muy lento y llega a la asistencia con muchos problemas.
Richard Burns (Subaru): "El cambio de marchas me va muy lento y también tengo problemas con los frenos, y esto me ha hecho perder mucho tiempo".
Colin McRae (Ford Focus): "He escogido los neumáticos ideales y me ha ido muy bien".
Gilles Panizzi (Peugeot): "El coche responde mucho mejor que ayer y ha sido un tramo mucho más fácil de lo esperado".
Tommi Makinen (Mitsubishi): "La verdad es que he sido demasiado prudente en este tramo y debería haber apretado más".
Marcus Gronhölm: (Peugeot): "Llevaba ruedas demasiado blandas y ha sido un tramo muy duro, sobre todo, a partir del km15".
Luis Climent (Skoda): Ha finalizado decimosexto. "A seis kilómetros de la llegada he roto la llanta y he perdido mucho tiempo. Además ha pinchado la rueda y llevaba un trozo de la mousse fuera".
Markko Märtin (Toyota): "He pinchado la rueda delantera izquierda. He tocado con una piedra y me he ido a la cuneta, entonces el coche vibraba mucho".

Colin McRae (Ford Focus) ha marcat l'scratch en el primer tram de la segona etapa amb un temps de 29:18.9 i que rebaixa en 8 segons el rècord que tenia Bugälski (Citroën) i que va aconseguir l'any passat. Amb aquest temps l'escocès se situa primer de la general provisional a 10.7 de Richard Burns, amb problemes en aquest tram. En segona posició ha finalitzat el francès François Delecour (Peugeot) amb 29:01.1 i tercer ha estat Gilles Panizzi, també de Peugeot, amb un temps de 29:02.5. Carlos Sainz (Ford), que ha finalitzat quart del tram, continua tercer de la general. El tram ha transcorregut sobre una carretera neta que es trobava a una temperatura de 9ºC. El públic que s'ha concentrat per veure en directe el primer tram del dia estava molt ben situat.

Richard Burns (Subaru): "El canvi de marxes em va molt lent i també tinc problemes amb els frens, i això m'ha fet perdre molt temps".
Colin McRae (Ford Focus): "He triat els pneumàtics ideals i m'ha anat molt bé".
Gilles Panizzi (Peugeot): "El cotxe respòn molt millor que ahir i ha estat un tram molt més fàcil del que s'esperava".
Tommi Makinen (Mitsubishi): "La veritat és que he estat massa prudent en aquest tram i hauria d'haver apretat més".
Marcus Gronhölm: (Peugeot): "Portava rodes massa toves i ha estat un tram molt dur, sobretot, a partir del km15".
Luis Climent (Skoda): Ha finalitzat dissetè. "A sis quilòmetres de l'arribada he trencat la llanda i he perdut molt temps. A més he punxat la roda i portava un troç de la mousse fora".
Markko Märtin (Toyota): "He punxat la roda davantera esquerra. He tocat amb una pedra i m'he sortit de la carretera, aleshores el cotxe vibrava molt".
