INFO PRESS 5 - Alpens-Les Llosses

TC5: SCHWARZ Y SKODA GANAN SU PRIMER TRAMO

Armin Schwarz (Skoda) ha conseguido el mejor tiempo en la segunda pasada por el tramo de Alpens-Les Lloses, es decir, quinto tramo de esta primera etapa del Rallye Catalunya-Costa Brava, con un tiempo de 15:00.8. En la pasada anterior Richard Burns (Subaru) había conseguido el scratch con un tiempo de 14:35.5. En segundo lugar ha finalizado Tommi Makinen (Mitsubishi) a tres segundos. Colin McRae, que está realizando un Rallye muy regular ha marcado el tercer tiempo, con 15:05.2 y el Peugeot de Gilles Panizzi ha sido cuarto. Carlos Sainz que ha finalizado quinto en este tramo, continúa tercero en la clasificación general provisional, liderada por el inglés Richard Burns (Subaru) que en este tramo ha perdido 14 segundos debido a la mala elección de neumáticos.

Armin Schwarz (Skoda): "He apretado mucho, he visto que he acertado con los neumáticos y que podía conseguir un buen tiempo".
Didier Auriol (Seat): Ha finalizado decimoquinto. "Ahora el joystick funciona mejor, pero tengo problemas con el neumático izquierdo delantero. En las curvas de derechas el coche se me va".
Toni Gardemeister (Seat): Ha finalizado decimotercero. "Las gomas eran demasiado blandas y no he podido hacerlo mejor".
Gilles Panizzi (Peugeot): "He acertado con los neumáticos. Me gusta este tramo y el motor responde perfectamente".
Juha Kankkunen (Subaru): Ha finalizado décimo. "Los neumáticos no eran los ideales y además he tenido problemas de dirección, pero ya lo hemos arreglado". En el tramo anterior se ha quejado del barro que había en la pista.

Nº29: Kris Princen. Renault Megane Maxi Kit. Fallo en el embrague.

TC5: SCHWARZ AND SKÖDA WIN THEIR FIRST STAGE

Armin Schwarz (Sköda) has obtained the best time in the second lap of the Alpens-Les Lloses stage, that is, the fifth stage of the first leg of the Rallye Catalunya-Costa Brava, with 15.00.8. In the previous lap, Richard Burns (Subaru) had obtained the scratch with 14.35.5. In second place came Tommi Makinen (Mitsubishi), with a three-second difference. Colin McRae, who is doing a very regular rallye, made the third best time, with 15:05.2, and Gilles Panizzi's Peugeot was fourth. Carlos Sainz, who finished fifth in this stage, is still third in the general provisional classification, whose leader is still Richard Burns (Subaru), who lost 14 seconds due to a bad choice of tires.

Didier Auriol (Seat): Finished in the fifteenth position. "Now the joystick works better, but I have trouble with the front left tire. In the curves to the curves, the car goes off".

TC5: SCHWARZ I SKODA GUANYEN EL SEU PRIMER TRAM

Armin Schwarz (Skoda) ha aconseguit el millor temps a la segona passada pel tram d'Alpens-Les Lloses, és a dir, cinquè tram d'aquesta primera etapa del Rallye Catalunya-Costa Brava, amb un temps de 15:00.8. A la passada anterior Richard Burns (Subaru) havia aconseguit l'scratch amb un temps de 14:35.5. En segon lloc ha finalitzat Tommi Makinen (Mitsubishi) a tres segons. Colin McRae, que està realitzant un Rallye molt regular, ha marcat el tercer temps amb 15:05.2 i el Peugeot de Gilles Panizzi ha estat quart. Carlos Sainz, que ha finalitzat cinquè en aquest tram, continua tercer a la classificació general provisional, liderada per l'anglès Richard Burns (Subaru), que en aquest tram ha perdut 14 segons a causa d'escollir malament els pneumàtics.

Armin Schwarz (Skoda): "He apretat molt, he vist que he encertat amb els pneumàtics i que podia aconseguir un bon temps".
Didier Auriol (Seat): Ha finalitzat quinzè. "Ara el joystick funciona millor, però tinc problemes amb el pneumàtic esquerre davanter. A les corbes de dretes el coche em marxa".
Toni Gardemeister (Seat): Ha finalitzat tretzè. "Les gomes eren massa toves i no he pogut fer-ho millor".
Gilles Panizzi (Peugeot): "He encertat amb els pneumàtics. M'agrada aquest tram i el motor respòn perfectament".
Juha Kankkunen (Subaru): Ha finalitzat desè. "Els pneumàtics no eren els ideals i, a més, he tingut problemes de direcció, però ja ho hem arreglat". En el tram anterior s'ha queixat del fang que hi havia a la pista.
