TC03: CARLOS SAINZ CONSIGUE EL MEJOR TIEMPO
El español Carlos Sainz de Ford ha marcado el scratch en el tercer tramo cronometrado (10,66 Km. ) con un tiempo de 7:07.6, seguido de Colin McRae (Ford) con 7:09.0 y tercero ha sido Richard Burns (Subaru) con un tiempo de 7:09.3. Ha parado de llover justo antes de iniciarse la pasada por tramo, el suelo estaba húmedo. La temperatura era de 5ºC y salió el sol.
Carlos Sainz (Ford): "Me encuentro cada vez mejor, no he tenido problemas".
Richard Burns (Subaru): "Me ha ido todo muy bien hasta el final del tramo que he empezado a tener problemas con los frenos".
Tommi Makkinen (Mitsubishi): Ha terminado cuarto. "Tengo problemas con la transmisión trasera, hecho que me dificulta la conducción".
Didier Auriol (Seat): Ha terminado séptimo. Tengo problemas con el cambio nuevo y no parece que vaya a solucionarlos en este Rallye.
Freddy Loix (Mitsubishi): Ha terminado octavo. "Es la primera vez que conduzco este coche sobre mojado. Parecía que el tramo patinaba mucho".
Luis Climent (Sköda): Ha finalizado vigésimo. "He montado neumáticos para mojado, al principio ha ido bien, pero aquí el terreno es más seco. Se me ha roto la llanta, pero he podido aguantar hasta el final".
Oriol Gómez (Mitsubishi): "He roto el latiguillo de frenos y he perdido mucho tiempo. Intentaré cambiarlos".
Abandonos:
Nº26: Serkan Yazici. Toyota Corolla. Team Renatto Trabaglia. Abandona en el enlace entre el segundo y tercer tramo.
TC03: CARLOS SAINZ GETS THE BEST TIME
The Spanish driver Carlos Sainz (Ford) has made the scratch in the third special stage (10,66 Km. ) with a time of 7:07.6, followed by Colin McRae (Ford) with 7:09.0, and Richard Burns (Subaru) has been third, with 7:09.3. It stopped raining right before starting the stage, the ground was wet. The temperature was 5ºC, and the sun came out.

L' espanyol Carlos Sainz de Ford ha marcat l'scratch en el tercer tram cronometrat (10,66 Km. ) amb un temps de 7:07.6, seguit de Colin McRae (Ford) amb 7:09.0 i tercer ha estat Richard Burns (Subaru) amb un temps de 7:09.3. Ha parat de ploure justament abans de començar la passada per tram, el terra estava humit. La temperatura era de 5ºC i ha sortit el sol.
Carlos Sainz (Ford): "Em trobo cada vegada millor, no he tingut problemes".
Tommi Makkinen (Mitsubishi): Ha acabat quart. "Tinc problemes amb la transmissió trasera, fet que que eM dificulta la conducció".
Didier Auriol (Seat): Ha acabat setè. Tinc problemes amb el canvi nou i no sembla que els solucioni en aquest Rallye.
Freddy Loix (Mitsubishi): Ha acabat vuitè. "És la primera vegada que condueixo aquest cotxe sobre mullat. Semblava que el tram patinava molt".
Luis Climent (Sköda): Ha acabat vintè. "He muntat pneumàtics sobre mullat, al principi ha anat bé, però aquí el terreny és massa sec. Se m'ha trencat la llanda, però he pogut aguantar fins el final".
Oriol Gómez (Mitsubishi): "He trencat la canalització dels frens i he perdut molt temps. Intentaré canviar-los".
Abandonaments:
