TC12: McRAE PENALIZADO CON DIEZ SEGUNDOS, SE IMPONE EN EL TRAMO

En el parque de asistencia de Manlleu, anterior a la salida del primer tramo del día, Colin McRae ha sido penalizado con 10 segundos al salir un minuto tarde tras cambiar el embrague. Sin embargo, esta penalización no ha afectado al escocés que ha marcado el scratch con un tiempo de 22:46.0, seguido de Gilles Panizzi a 6.1, mientras que Richard Burns a 7 segundos, ha sido el tercero. El Peugeot de François Delecour ha finalizado cuarto del tramo y Carlos Sainz quinto a 8.4 segundos. A pesar de la penalización, Colin McRae sigue primero de la general, pero a sólo 1.3 del inglés de Subaru Richard Burns. Carlos Sainz se mantiene tercero, y ya se encuentra a sólo 7.7 del líder. In the Manlleu service park previous to today's first stage, Colin McRae was penalized with 10 seconds for starting one minute late after changing the clutch.
