TC10: CARLOS SAINZ GANA EL TRAMO Y AFIANZA SU TERCERA POSICIÓN
Carlos Sainz se ha impuesto en el décimo tramo de la segunda etapa del Rallye con un tiempo de 10:41.3. Richard Burns (Subaru) ha acabado segundo a 1.1 y Gilles Panizzi (Peugeot) tercero a 1.7. Colin McRae ha finalizado sexto del tramo a 5.2 y continúa líder de la general con 6.5 segundos sobre el inglés Burns. La lucha por las primeras plazas se estrecha cada vez más. En el tramo anterior ha abandonado Alister McRae por problemas en el motor de su Hyundai Accent, siendo el primer piloto de los que puntúan para el Mundial de marcas que abandona.
Gilles Panizzi (Peugeot): "He cambiado el reglaje de las suspensiones porque el coche saltaba demasiado y las he puesto más duras".
Andrea Navarra (Toyota): Ha finalizado duodécimo. "Me encuentro muy mal, tengo problemas de deshidratación, mucho calor, tal vez a causa de los medicamentos. Sólo deseo llegar a Lloret para descansar".
Markus Gronhölm (Peugeot): Ha finalizado séptimo. "Lo malo de salir más retrasado es que la pista está más resbaladiza a causa de la gravilla".
Didier Auriol (Seat): Ha finalizado noveno. "Me he encontrado una piedra en medio de la pista y he pinchado".
Andrea Dallavilla (Subaru): Ha finalizado decimonoveno. "Me ha explotado el neumático y he llegado sobre la llanta, la rueda está destrozada".
Luis Climent (Skoda): Ha finalizado decimosexto. "He tenido muchos problemas técnicos. Tan sólo quiero acabar la etapa y ver cómo va todo mañana para poder acabar".

SS10: CARLOS SAINZ WINS THE STAGE AND SECURES HIS THIRD POSITION
Carlos Sainz has won the tenth stage of the Rallye's second leg with 10:41.3. Richard Burns (Subaru) finished in second position, 1.1 away, and Gilles Panizzi (Peugeot) was third, 1.7 away. Colin McRae finished in the sixth place, 5.2 seconds away, and is still leader of the general classification, 6.5 seconds above Richard Burns. The struggle for the first places is becoming narrower each time. In the previous stage Alister McRae retired due to engine problems of his Hyundai Accent, becoming the first driver with score for the Manufacturers' World Championship who retires.
Gilles Panizzi (Peugeot): "I changed the adjustment of the suspension because the car jumped too much, so I put a harder one".
Andrea Navarra (Toyota): Finished in twelfth position. "I don't feel well at all, I have dehydration problems, I'm very hot, maybe because of the medication. I only want to get to Lloret to rest".
Markus Gronhölm (Peugeot): Finished in seventh position. "The bad thing about starting later is that the track is more slippery because of the gravel".
Didier Auriol (Seat): Finished in ninth position. "I found a rock in the middle of the track and I punctured a tire".
Andrea Dallavilla (Subaru): Finished in nineteenth position. "The tire exploded and I arrived on the rim, the wheel is totally destroyed".
Luis Climent (Skoda): Finished in sixteenth position. "I had many technical problems. I only want to finish the leg and see how things go tomorrow to be able to finish".

Colin McRae ha finalitzat sisè del tram a 5.2 i continua líder de la general amb 6.5 segons sobre l'anglès Burns. La lluita per les primeres places s'estreny cada vegada més. En el tram anterior ha abandonat Alister McRae per problemes en el motor del seu Hyundai Accent, sent el primer pilot dels que puntuen per al Mundial de marques que abandona.

Markus Gronhölm (Peugeot): Ha finalitzat setè. "El problema de sortir retrassat és que la pista rellisca més a causa de la graveta".
Didier Auriol (Seat): Ha finalitzat novè. "M'he trobat una pedra al mig de la pista i he punxat".
Andrea Dallavilla (Subaru): Ha finalitzat dinovè. "M'ha explotat el pneumàtic i he arribat sobre la llanda, la roda està destrossada".
Luis Climent (Skoda): Ha finalitzat setzè. "He tingut molts problemes tècnics. Tan sols vull acabar l'etapa i veure com va tot demà per poder acabar".
