General description

The Emprius gravel-tarmac mixed area once again becomes the Shakedown stage, the rally test section set in a perfect location for its short distance from the service and the Salou town centre. The route is a true preview of the stages that are going to be raced on Friday, as well as of the urban special in Salou, the last stage to be raced on Saturday on Passeig Jaume I. The Shakedown has a total of 2.00 km in length (999 metres on gravel and 1,01 km on tarmac).

The public is advised to arrive early enough and use the urban car parks located in the surroundings, as due to the excellent access facilities, the well-defined areas for the public and the car park might fill-up in a short period of time.

Spectator Areas ZP-1

Very spectacular, long, twisty section with the transition from gravel surface to asphalt. The biggest part of the layout runs below the level at which spectators are located, thus creating a stadium-like area around the route, facilitating visibility and the positioning of the public.

Access: Walking from the Salou town centre to the Emprius area or by car following the C-31B road.

Parking: Easy-to-access, especially prepared car park, close to the stage. It might get filled-up. Therefore we recommend arriving early enough and using one of the car parks in the surrounding neighbourhoods.

– Assessment: Location    – Visibility    – Spectacularity
