RallyRACC, day 2: Tarmac starts

With 50 participants at the start of the second day of the 55 RallyRACC Catalunya-Costa Daurada, the first tarmac day of the two that are left begins with 7 stages: two passes through Savallà (14.08 km), Querol (21.26 km) and El Montmell (24.40 km), and the urban stage of Salou (2.24 km), which will take place around 17.30h, making 121.72 km of a total of 462.96.

After yesterday's leg on gravel, the cars had to change the setup to adapt them to asphalt, with the three Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC driven by Sébastien Loeb/Daniel Elena, Thierry Neuville/Nicolas Gilsoul and the Spanish duo Dani Sordo/Carlos del Barrio lead the race in the first three places of the overall provisional standings.

After yesterday's leg, the cars participating in the Beca Júnior R2 organized by the RFEdeA and the Peugeot Rally Cup Ibérica organized by the Portuguese Sports & You finished. Pep Bassas/Axel Coronado won the Beca Júnior R2 which allowed them to secure the victory of the series with one round to go. The same happened at the Peugeot Rally Cup Ibérica, in which Daniel Berdomás/David Rivero secured the title with their sixth place, also with one round left, while the victory of the RallyRACC was for Ruairi Bell/Darren Garrod in the Junior category of the Peugeot single brand series.
