Toyota, to play leading role in the 55 RallyRACC

31/07/2019

For the second year in a row, a Toyota Yaris WRC will be the central feature of the official poster of the RallyRACC CATALUNYA-COSTA DAURADA, Rally de España 2019. The 55th edition of the Spanish race, penultimate round of the FIA World Rally Championship 2019, will be staged from 24 to 27 October, based in Salou and the PortAventura World theme and leisure park.

With this new sponsorship agreement, Toyota Spain continues to be the Official Sponsor of the rally. The image of the company and their products will feature a large part of the promotion campaign of the rally, from the official poster that was just launched, to the presence in all of the technical documents and informative brochures, official programmes, banderoles and all of the advertising elements located in Salou and PortAventura World.  Moreover, Toyota will have an outstanding presence in all of the organised launching events, as well as in the location of the Rally Headquarters and the Media Centre.

Toyota, through its Spanish subsidiary, is thus ratifying its commitment to the WRC, in line with the major sports role that the Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT Team is playing in the FIA World Championship. The team led by Tommi Mäkinen is one of the main actors of the world championship and even though the make is currently on the provisional second position in the Manufacturers standings, their first crew, Ott Tänak-Martin Järveoja, is leading the provisional Driver standings after winning the rallies in Sweden, Chile and Portugal, and the crew with the most number of victories in the season.

The other two Toyota Gazoo Racing crews are currently running on sixth (Kris Meeke-Sebastian Marshall) and tenth position (Jari-Matti Latvala-Miikka Anttila). In their third participation in the RallyRACC, Toyota Gazoo Racing will be lining up a significant team, ready to battle for a podium, which their drivers are looking forward to, more than ever before.
