SS 3/SS 6 • Pesells

26,59 km (gravel)
Friday, 26 October 2018 • First car due: 10:06h and 15:56h

General description

Very fast special stage with a high pace, including several sections that will put the driving style of the competitors to the test. The surface is excellent, mostly covered by a thin layer of gravel, although there are also a few asphalted sections in certain areas. It is a fast special, but with some complicated breaking sections. Its main feature are the linked bends.

The final section of the stage is the same as last year, when it was raced under the name of `Caseres´. This year the special will cover a total of 26 km, a true challenge.

Spectator Area ZP-1

Section of fast, linked bends negotiated at high speed. Good area to watch the pace of the best drivers in the world. Safe area outside the crop fields.

Access: From Bot, following T-334 (KP 10.10), take the gravel track heading for Caseres until reaching the junction.

Parking: There is no specific parking area, you will have to park on the access track, avoiding to block the access.

Spectator Area ZP-2

Downward going and flat section with the village of Arenys de Lledó in the horizon. High speed is the outstanding feature. A few metres before the access there is an area with very good visibility. Safe area in the raised zones of the roadside.

Access: The stage runs along the Algars river and the Arenys de Lledó village, which can be reached following TV-3341 road from Horta de Sant Joan. The river is the natural border between Catalonia (stage) and Aragon (village).

Spectator Area ZP-3

Cars crossing a river bed! In the area, very close to ZP2, the cars arrive very fast and reach the second intersection that takes them to the village of Arenys de Lledó. At this point, participants have to cross a dry river bed filled with stones, very rough and shrivelled. Safe area on the inner side of the intersection, at the hillside.

Access: Stage area almost identical to the ZP-2 area, though approx. 1 km away.

Parking: In the village of Arenys de Lledó (very close to the SS).

Spectator Area ZP-4

One of the iconic areas of the event. The track intersection in Caseres and Arenys de Lledó heading for Bot is perfect for spectators, due to the visibility and its spectacular nature. The cars appear in front of the Mudèfer castle and after a ditch, continue on the 90º intersection. Safe area on the outer side of the intersection.

Access: From the village of Caseres, following the local road TV-3344 heading for Castell de Mudèfer.

Parking: There is no specific parking area, you will have to park on the access track, avoiding to block the access.

Spectator Area ZP-5

Final upward section of the special and start of the section going down to the village of Bot. Several roads coming from the wind farm meet here. It is a left-right bend on a light gradient that is reached after a 90º right-hander, on a rather wide track with good visibility. Safe location on the raised parts next to the crop areas.

Access: From kp 791.6 of N-420 road follow the track to the wind farm and continue about 2 km to reach the described junction.

Parking: Easy parking area next to the stage access track.

Spectator Area ZP-6

A very interesting place as there is a strong braking point on gravel to challenge a closed angle to the left on dirty asphalt, located exactly 100 metres before the finish. Safe location on the raised areas, away from the braking point.

Access:
Walking from Bot.

Parking: In the village of Bot, or easily inside the soccer field of the village, the latter being located exactly 700 metres from the area.
