• The event will have a linear route, like in former rallying, with a total of more than 600km, including 152.5 km of controlled regularity on closed roads.
• The entry period closes this week, and the itinerary will be published on 25 February.

The countdown for the 3rd Rally Catalunya Històric-Rally de Les Caves has started. The premium regularity event for classic cars will be staged on 1 and 2 March, with start and finish in Barcelona. The rally route will include stages on closed roads and cover a large part of the roads that made famous the emblematic Rally de Les Caves in the early 1970, an event that was later integrated into Rally Catalunya.

The entry period closes this week, and the itinerary will be published on 25 February during the official launch of the event for participants and media.  The route will take participants along the regions of Anoia, Alt Penedès and Baix Penedès, and surroundings, where the vineyards will be making up the main landscape feature along the rally.

The official poster of the 3rd Rally Catalunya Històric-Rally de Les Caves offers a beautiful view of the vineyards that will feature the rally, in combination with the SEAT 124 Especial 1800 that will be driven by Salvador Cañellas, winner of the first Rally Catalunya-Rally de Les Caves, staged in 1973.

The beauty of the roads and the surroundings, a world-level prestigious organisation, and a select list of entrants, who will enjoy all comfort and services made available by the RACC, complete the ingredients of this premium rally that will be counting again on the sponsorship of Hotel Hilton Diagonal Mar Barcelona and Andbank. The event will also have institutional sponsorship by the Barcelona County Council and the El Vendrell Town Council, as well as the support of the Barcelona City Council and the El Montmell Town Council.

The itinerary of the 3rd Rally Catalunya Històric-Rally de Les Caves will cover 608.43 km, including 152.51 km of controlled regularity, split into 14 different stages on roads that will be closed for traffic (no stage will be repeated). The timekeeping will be made by Blunik.

The start will be given at Avenida de la Catedral in Barcelona at 12.30h on Friday 1 March. The first Leg will finish from 21.00h at Hotel Ra in El Vendrell. The second leg will start at the same hotel at 9.00h and finish from 19.16h at Hotel Hilton Diagonal Mar Barcelona, venue of the closing dinner and prize-giving.
