RallyRACC, final day: And the winner is...

28/10/2018

Today, Sunday 28, last day of the RallyRACC, two stages will be run, both twice: ‘Riudecanyes' (16,35 km) and ‘Santa Marina' (14,50 km). The latter, in its second passage, will be the Power Stage and will give points to the first five classified drivers. These are their characteristics:

Riudecanyes, the stage of the roundabouts
With two spectator areas, this is  one of the most crowded stages of the event, identical to how it was celebrated in 2017. The first part is well known due to its characteristic roundabouts on the N-420 road. The mountain acts as a natural grandstand offering a great area to watch the cars negotiating the first roundabout, around which the participants will have to make a complete lap (doughnut style).  The special, after passing the two roundabouts, turns into a narrow and very twisty downward section.

The first part, until Duesaigües is very twisty and complicated. The slope is steep and the braking very strong.  After Duesaigües and its famous railway bridge, the stage turns flatter and faster, surrounding the Riudecanyes reservoir until reaching the intersection in the village to face the last metres until the finish.

Santa Marina, Power Stage and live TV
Power Stage on one of the most traditional stages of the RallyRACC. The special starts halfway the asphalted track going from Colldejou to Pratdip. The special gets speed very quickly heading to the first spectator area located in Pratdip. The intersection with a change of road in the village is a good place to watch the cars passing by.

The stage changes completely, becomes much faster and reaches the second spectator area of this special, in Santa Marina. After Santa Marina, the stage continues on a last, very twisty section, with a high pace and going upwards to Coll de Fatxes, the stage finish. This stage, which has two spectator areas, will be broadcasted live on WRC + All Live.

After Santa Marina and a service in PortAventura World, at 14.01 the podium will take place, declaring the new Champion of the 54 RallyRACC.
