Aman Barfull: "An organisational success and a hard, thrilling and largely followed rally"

Aman Barfull, Clerk of the Course of the RallyRACC CATALUNYA-COSTA DAURADA, Rally de España, and head of the Sports Area of the RACC, offers his final assessment.
 
The editions of our RallyRACC follow one another and fortunately, the final assessment we usually do is always very positive. The final result does always fill all of us with satisfaction; all those who are involved in the rally, either as participants, spectators, the FIA or the organisation as such.

If organising an event of the World Championship is a huge challenge, the severity of the weather conditions we had this year turned it probably into one of the hardest events, especially on the first two days. Therefore, and this year more than ever before, we have to thank all collaborators and volunteers, as well as the police forces, for their dedication and their efforts to achieve an impeccable result.

The excitement was high throughout the rally, thanks to the excellent performance of Dani Sordo and Marc Martí. In certain public areas, the number of spectators was extraordinary. We had to increase security controls to make sure that the rally was a safe event.

We do not only have an excellent TV coverage, live and recorded, both in our territory and in more than 80 countries; but local fans and fans coming from abroad consider the RallyRACC as one of their sports events of the year.

Congratulations to all, for another great year and for making it possible to have a 52 RallyRACC which has been excellent in all aspects: #WeAreAllRallyRACC. My deepest gratitude to all volunteers, on my own behalf and on behalf of my collaborators, for helping us to continue on this path towards organisational excellence and also to all sponsors, who make it possible.
