The second day of the RallyRACC starts with Loeb and Sordo’s Citroëns on the lead

Activities for the second day of the RallyRACC Catalunya-COSTA DAURADA, Rally de España, started this morning at 8 am at PortAventura’s service park, with the start of the 65 cars that remain. With the same format as yesterday, drivers will face three different special stages that will be passed twice each, covering a total timed distance of 127.98 km. The longest and most demanding SS today is El Priorat-La Ribera d’Ebre, with 38.27 km.

Les Garrigues (8.60 km) and La Llena (17.12 km) special stages, which were new last year, are also on the road book this time. The first special stage of the day, El Priorat-La Ribera d’Ebre, gave Sébastien Loeb (Citroën) a new scratch time, to build up his personal list of two. Now he is even with team mate Dani Sordo in the overall standings, where the Spaniard currently sits second.

Meanwhile, Mikko Hirvonen (Ford) clings to his third place in a sunny day marked by a pleasant weather and dry tarmac. Petter Solberg and Sébastien Ogier, both on Citroën, close the top 5 list.
